image 2

Initial drawings and colourful studies are made of living plants and the landscape around. These drawings are used  to form the basis of the paintings. The images appear slowly, layer on layer, creating depth and form. There may be more than 30 layers of colour in the areas of densest colour. The method of working has a meditative quality to it.
