The tall orange teasel, the soft yellow grass and the gold hogweed designs. There will be lots of wonderful work there, paintings and artworks as well as craft. Put it in your diary.
On Saturday 13th April I ran a collagraph printmaking day near Dorchester, Dorset. Some really lovely work was produced during the day. I got a moment to print one of my small still life plates of a bowl and spoon.

Will be planning some further printing days in the summer.

A textile lamp shade patterned with shibori resist leaves made to special commission to coordinate with the clients leaf patterned curtains. The dye is a special procion colour created by Annabel Wilson. This is also the first pendant lamp shade that Annabel has made using the leaf design.

I have been producing new collagraph prints exploring the still life as an image. I am working towards watercolours and prints that look at the interior looking out to the wider world. This is one of my first prints. Just using two colours, ultamarine and burnt sienna with black.
I am running another collagraph printing workshop at Old School Hall, Upwey nr Weymouth on the 23rd March 2013. Here is the poster for it. Collagraph is a simple and exciting way to produce colourful prints from a card plate. You don't need to be able to draw to get some beautiful results.
My first time at a really lovely artist/maker organised exhibition at Rattery, South Devon over the weekend of 23 through to 25 November 2012. A good range and standard of work, some lovely things to be seen there. It has been going for 14 years now and grows in reputation and success. The weather was terrible over the weekend but people battled the pouring rain and howling gales to make it into Rattery village.
The picture shows my table with 12 to 14 light fittings all displayed together, all glowing.

Collagraph is a method of printmaking using a cardboard plate on which you scratch, cut, stick, layer or draw. It is a simple way of printing which requires no particular drawing skills, exciting and creative results can be produced by cutting and layering papers and making marks.
Once the plate is made it is rolled with inks and printed in black and white or bright colours producing textured, colourful images.
With two other textile artists, Karen Erlebach, a weaver and Janine Rees a feltmaker I am exhibiting at the Gallery on the Square opening on October 5th.

Janine, Karen or myself will be there on Saturdays and Wednesdays. Here is the poster with the dates.
